Research group: Geometric Methods in Complex Analysis IV

The research group was a continuation of the meetings organized under the same name in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The reserach group focused on the engineering problem of μ-synthesis, which has led to the study of certain inhomogeneous domains, the symmetrised polydisc, the tetrablock, and the pentablock, which enjoy a rich function theory of several complex variables and operator theory.

During the meeting the series of lectures were given. A. Lewandowski and P. Zapa³owski showed how the purely engineering problem of μ-synthesis leads to the study of certain inhomogeneous domains, the symmetrised polydisc, the tetrablock, and the pentablock. The other speakers presented the results contained in A. Packard's and J. Doyle's paper "The Complex Structured Singular Value". Along with the official programme of the meeting, there were also informal discussions on the aforementioned topics held.
